Advanced IRC

Latest stable release: 2.0.4a
Latest dev release: -

Welcome to the Advanced IRC web site. Here you'll find sources, binaries and eventually documentation, for all releases.

So what is this AIRC thingy? Advanced IRC is, as the name implies, and IRC client. An IRC client is used to chat with other people via IRC servers on IRC networks such as EFnet and Undernet. So, the short version is; "it's a chat program".

By request of users wanting to chat online with me, here is my contact info:
- IRC (slicer @ efnet, technet1, undernet)
- ICQ (#248958488)
- AIM (TheSlicer0)
- MSN (slicer86@hotmail.com)
- Jabber (slicer@jabber.org)

At this site (SourceForge.net) is a bug report system, a feature request system and other services you may find useful if you are using Advanced IRC.

AIRC 2.0.4 released!

A new version of AIRC is out, featuring much more functionality in the installer. A couple of features has been added, and some bugs have been fixed.

This new version also has much more functionality in the installer (in addition to using a new version of it), and includes all the runtime files neccessary to run AIRC. It also correctly registers airc2.ocx, fixing a bug encountered by a couple of users.

Anyhow -- enjoy this new release!

Feature requests
Mommy, why doesn't Advanced IRC do that? Well, son, it just might do so if you submit a feature request. If there is anything you are missing in AIRC, submit your request here.
Documentation
Ever wondered what a specific feature does, or the syntax for a command? Maybe you'd like to figure out how a specific part of the client works? In either case -- read the docs.

NB! The documentation is not ready at the time, it is currently being written by SF.net user Norberto Pontt (npontt), and will be online as soon as he is finished.

File releases
This is what you've probably been looking for - the binary and/or source files for the client.

Important: currently, the SourceForge.net download counters are broken, and all download counts are showing a much smaller number than they are supposed to. This is not the actual numbers, but rather caused by an issue in the SourceForge.net code.
